Mistake on LH SIN-FRA-EWR. Also need to know SQ25 PER flight connection

If you mean LH779 + LH402 vs SQ 22, it isn't really a fair comparison anymore since you eliminate the layover.
Edit: I'm very confused by your phrasing now lol. Anyway, go all LH or all SQ, regardless of where you land.
My mistake on that original comment. What I meant is this LH779 SIN-FRA to LH402 FRA-EWR. For the complete comparison it's LH779+LH402 vs SQ26.
Since SQ25 does connect to SQ910/900 TR360/361 SIN-MNL/CEB/DVO Francisco Bangoy. I wonder what flight to Perth, Western Australia is it timed to? For SQ21 from EWR it's suited for SQ215 the mid night arrival in Perth. Because I'm planning my brothers trip from JFK/EWR to Perth Western Australia in 2025.

I searched this thread but am not yet fully sure and just want to check my understanding.
Star Alliance Gold (LH Senator) here, no KrisFlyer Status, no Priority Pass. Flying out of JFK in premium economy with SQ25 leaving at 8:15pm from JFK Terminal 4.
Which lounge option do I have?
I understand that I do not qualify for access into the Virgin Clubhouse. I might get into Air India Maharaja Lounge - but regardless of its quality which is not really praised here according to their website the lounge already closes at 2:00pm. Will SA Gold get me access into the Prime Class Lounge? LH lounges are in Terminal 1 which I guess I could only access via additional security screening.

No lounge access at T4. Remember Star Alliance has a lounge finder where you enter your criteria. I'd suggest TWA Hotel, personally.

As a *G pax, you should have access to the Air India lounge. The lounge is open for the SQ flight. I don't think you will have access to Prime Class.

Note that Star Alliance site disputes this (based on permitted hours of entry). But we all know that said site isnt gospel.

It's either the AI lounge or the PrimeClass lounge for *G. I suspect it depends on departure time.

Just a note: unlike the other terminals at JFK, Terminal 1 only admits you through security with a Terminal 1 boarding pass. Accordingly, you won't be able to use lounges there.

Unless something has changed very recently, the AI lounge is in fact open for the SQ25 departure. It's also a Priority Pass lounge and their website says the AI lounge is open until 8pm, which is also consistent with my own experience flying SQ25. The lounge staff often turn Priority Pass users away but appear to allow eligible SQ passengers access during the busy early evening hours (even if the 'our lounge is busy and has a waiting list' sign is up). The lounge isn't much to write about, but it's better then the Terminal waiting areas and the F&B spread isn't bad.

That's interesting. I've routinely gone to other terminals when departing from T1 (i.e. going to Chelsea Lounge @ T8 when flying Royal Air Maroc), but I've never tried accessing T1 with a non-T1 BP.. I wonder if that change was put into place when AirTrain wasn't stopping there?
I'll be interested to hear how the OP fares at Air India, since the Star lounge finder specifically cites ineligibility (based on the hours they list relative to when OP would like to visit).

I believe it's related to the fact that it's all international flights and there's no designated exit from departures airside. (Obviously there is a way but if it was meant for passengers they'd need a security guard stationed there etc.)

Duh on me. Of course!
I blame the post-Farnborough jetlag and hangover.

No, it's a much longer policy than that. Something to do with it being an "International Only Terminal". Doesn't really make sense - but yes, you can use T1 boarding passes to go into other JFK terminals, but not the other way around.
