Hardly any time has passed since a Redditor revealed early details about the Vivoactive 6 and the prospect of a new Forerunner smartwatch. Nonetheless, fresh details about the former have now emerged online ahead of its rumoured launch in under a month's time.
Reportedly, the Vivoactive 6 will line up with an AMOLED display that measures 1.2-inches diagonally and outputs at 390 x 390 pixels with a 325 PPI. In other words, the display inside Garmin's next Vivoactive will be the same size and resolution as the one found inside the Vivoactive 5(curr. $179.95 - refurbished on Amazon). Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether the small display will be any larger this time around.
The Vivoactive 6 is said to be slightly thinner than its predecessor at 10.9 mm, though. The newer smartwatch is slated to launch with 8 GB of built-in storage, as well as support for BeiDou and QZSS location services. On top of that,Fitness Tracker Testmentions that the Vivoactive 6 will offer Garmin Share, animated workouts and running metrics, which its predecessor missed out on. The website adds that the Vivoactive 6 will arrive in the Eurozone for €329 (~$355). However, the smartwatch is believed to be reaching North America for closer to $300.
