When To Apply for the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card
The best time to apply for a new credit card is a personal strategy that revolves largely around your spending plan. If you have a large purchase coming up and there are valuable welcome bonus offers out there, it may be a good idea to apply for that new card.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve card’s welcome bonus offer is now: Earn 60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months. And at our 2 cents per point valuation of Ultimate Rewards points, that leaves you with roughly $1,200 in travel rewards value.
Here’s the full history of the card and its welcome offers:

Final Thoughts
If you’re able to come up with a plan to hit the minimum spending bonus without overstretching yourself financially, the Chase Sapphire Reserve card is worth considering if you’re an avid traveler.
The card comes with a stiff $550 annual fee, but with the right strategy, you could quickly make up for that from the rewards and benefits of the card.
