“Our Top 30 longlist this year truly showcases the rich diversity of Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine in Metro Vancouver,” Lee Man, judging panel chair, Chinese Restaurant Awards, said in a news release. “From Cantonese, Jiangnan, Northern Chinese, to Hunan, and Sichuan, our 2024 list reflects the culinary trends and vibrant dining scene in our region. We are lucky to have so many incredible choices.”

Founded in 2008, the annual event is billed as the “longest-running Chinese culinary awards event in the world.”
The list of top eateries will be slashed to a Top 15 shortlist on Nov. 5 during an awards ceremony at The Vancouver Club. Additional category awards such as Critics’ Choice Signature Dish Awards, Best New Restaurant of the Year, Master Chef of the Year, and Dim Sum Chef of the Year will also be awarded during the event.
